Looking for some opinions on the value of a custom-built adult website targeting the Australian market, as selling it is being considered.
The website is fully custom coded rather than being based on a cheap template. It’s a high-end build with the main features an escort site would need, with functionality similar to platforms such as Scarlet Blue.
A lot of work has also gone into the SEO side. The site has a proper CMS that makes it easy to create new pages, including suburb pages, with much of the SEO setup being generated automatically.
The domain is another interesting part of the site. It currently has around 400 referring domains, all within the adult niche, and that number is continuing to grow.
Traffic is currently around 90 visits per day, with roughly 1,400 impressions. What makes it interesting is that the site isn't just appearing for random low-quality keywords. It is already starting to rank for valuable searches such as Brisbane escorts and Sydney escorts.
Those are obviously very competitive terms, but getting the site onto the first page could potentially make a huge difference. The established sites ranking for those keywords are reportedly generating very significant revenue.
The whole project took around a year to build, so the technical foundation, CMS, SEO structure and infrastructure are already in place.
The website is also built to handle much higher traffic, with the infrastructure designed for up to around 100k visitors per day.
The main question is what something like this would realistically be worth right now.
Would it be better to keep working on the rankings and try to push it further, or sell it now and let someone else take advantage of the SEO work that's already been done?
Would be interested to hear what people here think the current value could be based on the traffic, referring domains, SEO potential and overall build quality.
