I’m curious to hear some real-world experiences here.

We hear a lot about AI compliance, governance, privacy reviews, security checks, and internal approval processes, but I’m wondering how much these things actually affect projects in practice.

Has compliance ever delayed or completely changed something you were working on?

For example:

• A product launch getting pushed back because of an AI review
• An enterprise customer asking for additional documentation before signing
• An investment or partnership being delayed because of AI-related risks
• A security, privacy, or compliance audit uncovering an unexpected issue
• A company having to change an AI feature because it didn’t meet internal policies
• Legal teams asking for extra controls, testing, monitoring, or documentation
• A project being stopped because the company couldn’t clearly explain how the AI system worked or handled data

I’d especially love to hear what happened after the issue was discovered.

Was it something that could be fixed with better documentation and processes, or did it require changing the actual product?

And looking back, was the compliance work ultimately useful, or did it mostly feel like a roadblock?

Real experiences would be much more interesting than general advice. Even examples where everything went smoothly would be useful.
