Hi everyone,

I'm planning to start using Google Ads for the first time and don't want to spend too much while learning.

What do you think is a good daily or monthly budget for a complete beginner? Is it better to start with around $5–$10 per day, or should I invest more to get meaningful results?

I'm mainly looking to learn how campaigns work, test different keywords, and understand what converts before increasing my budget.

I'd love to hear what budget you started with and any tips you have for beginners. Thanks!

I started with $10/day. It was enough to learn the basics without spending too much.

For beginners, I'd recommend keeping the budget low at first. Focus more on learning campaign setup than getting instant sales.

I made the mistake of spending $50/day right away. Looking back, I should have started with around $10-$15 daily and optimized first.

My first campaign ran at $5 per day for two weeks. It didn't generate many conversions, but it helped me understand keywords, bids, and search terms.

If you're completely new, don't worry about getting immediate results. Google Ads takes some testing before you find what works.

I'd say $300-$500 per month is a reasonable learning budget if you can afford it. It gives enough data to make better decisions.

Your industry matters a lot. Some keywords cost less than $1 per click, while others can cost $20 or more.

Instead of asking how much to spend, ask how much you're willing to lose while learning. That's usually a better starting point.

I began with Search campaigns only. Once I understood conversions, I expanded into other campaign types.
