When people share their side hustle success online, you usually see the exciting part.
The first $10,000 month.
The luxury vacations.
The screenshots of huge payouts.
What you don't usually see are the months before that.
The late nights.
The self-doubt.
The projects that earned almost nothing.
I've been building my side hustle alongside a full-time job, and my experience has been a lot less glamorous than most posts make it seem.
Some months I made less than $50.
Some ideas completely failed.
I spent weeks creating things that nobody bought.
I published blog posts that barely got any visitors.
I applied for freelance jobs and never received a reply.
There were days when I seriously questioned whether any of it was worth the effort.
But I also noticed something important.
Every small project taught me something.
Every failed attempt made the next one slightly better.
Instead of chasing quick wins, I started focusing on building skills that would still be valuable a year later.
Little by little, things began to change.
One freelance client became two.
A blog article that earned nothing for months suddenly started bringing in affiliate commissions.
A digital product made its first sale, then another, then another.
None of these moments felt life-changing on their own.
But together, they added up.
That's why I'm starting this thread.
Not to show perfect results.
Not to post unrealistic income screenshots.
Just to document the journey as it actually happens the good months, the slow months, the mistakes, and the lessons along the way.
I'll share my monthly progress, what I'm working on, what's working, what isn't, and the numbers behind it.
Hopefully this thread keeps me accountable, and maybe it helps someone else who's still in the early stages realize they're not the only one moving slowly.
