Hello everyone here,

There's No Shortage of Platforms These Days

It feels like every month there's a new platform claiming to be the best place to make money online. Some people swear by YouTube, while others build successful businesses through Amazon, Etsy, Shopify, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Upwork, Fiverr, or even their own websites.

The interesting part is that two people can use the exact same platform and get completely different results. One person might build a full-time income, while another struggles to earn their first dollar. That's why I'm curious about real experiences rather than success stories designed to sell a course.

My Experience So Far

I've spent a lot of time researching different online business models, and one thing I've noticed is that every platform has its own strengths and challenges. Some reward creators who consistently publish content, while others work better for people selling products or offering services.

I've also realized that choosing the right platform depends on your skills, your audience, and how much time you're willing to invest. What works well for one person may not be the best option for someone else.

The Biggest Lesson You've Learned

If you've been earning money online for a while, I'd love to hear about your journey.

Which platform has generated the highest income for you so far?

Was it profitable from the beginning, or did it take months or even years before you started seeing consistent results?

Did you focus on just one platform, or do you spread your efforts across several different platforms?

If You Had to Start Again

Imagine you had to begin from scratch today with no audience, no website, and no existing customers.

Would you still choose the same platform?

Or would you take a completely different approach based on everything you've learned?

I'm especially interested in hearing why you made that choice and whether you'd recommend it to someone who is just starting out.

Advice for Beginners

Many newcomers get overwhelmed because there are so many ways to make money online. Every day they see videos claiming that affiliate marketing, freelancing, dropshipping, YouTube, AI, digital products, or social media is the fastest path to success.

For someone who has never earned money online before, what platform would you honestly recommend focusing on first, and why?

I'd really appreciate hearing genuine experiences, including the mistakes you made, the challenges you faced, and the lessons you learned along the way. Real-world stories are often much more valuable than polished success stories.

For me, it has been my own website. Social media helped bring visitors, but my website is where most of my sales happen. It took a long time to build traffic, but now it's my most reliable source of income.

YouTube has made me the most money. I started uploading videos just as a hobby, but after about a year, the channel began generating ad revenue and affiliate commissions. It wasn't quick, but it has been worth the effort.

I've earned the most through Fiverr. At first I charged very little just to get reviews. Once I built a good reputation, higher-paying clients started reaching out on their own.

Facebook has been surprisingly profitable for me. Most of my customers come through local groups and Marketplace. I never expected it to outperform other platforms.

Instagram has worked best for my business because my products are very visual. Consistent posting and interacting with followers brought in far more sales than I expected.

Affiliate marketing through my blog has generated the highest income for me. It took patience because traffic grew slowly, but now older articles continue bringing in commissions every month.

Amazon has been my biggest income source. I started by selling a few products, and over time I learned how important reviews and customer service really are.

Great advice

LinkedIn has been the most valuable platform for me. I don't get millions of views, but the people I connect with there are serious buyers and business owners.

Honestly, email marketing has made me more money than any social media platform. Once I built a subscriber list, launching products became much easier.

I tried almost every platform before realizing Etsy was the best fit for my handmade products. The audience was already there, which made things much easier.

TikTok surprised me. One viral video brought more sales in a week than months of posting elsewhere. The challenge is keeping that momentum going.

For me, freelancing platforms were the best starting point. Upwork gave me the opportunity to build experience, and many of those clients later became long-term customers.
