30 Days at a Time: Documenting My Online Income Journey
I Want to See What Happens If I Actually Stick With It
I’ve started and stopped more online income ideas than I’d like to admit.A lot of the time, I would get excited about something, spend a few days or weeks working on it, and then move on when the results weren’t coming quickly enough. Looking back, I think my biggest problem wasn’t always the method itself. It was my lack of patience.
So this time, I’m trying something different.
Instead of constantly thinking about where I’ll be six months from now, I want to focus on the next 30 days. I want to document what I’m working on, what I’m learning, what goes wrong, and whether the effort actually produces any income.
I’m not expecting every month to be a success. Honestly, I think some months will probably be disappointing. But I’d rather have a real record of the journey than another folder full of unfinished ideas.
My First 30 Days
The first month was mostly about getting organized and figuring out where I should actually put my time.I had plenty of ideas, but having ideas was never really my problem. Choosing one direction and giving it enough time was.
I started cutting down the distractions and paying more attention to the tasks that could actually move things forward.
The results weren’t huge, but I learned more from this month than I expected.
What I’m Tracking Each Month
I don’t want this thread to become just another income screenshot post.I want to look at the whole picture. What I worked on, how much time I spent, what I spent money on, what worked, what didn’t, and what I would change the following month.
For me, that feels much more useful than simply saying, “I made X amount this month.”
Some Months Will Probably Be Bad
I’m also trying to be realistic about this. There will probably be months where I make very little or even lose money. There may be projects that completely fail or ideas that turn out to be a waste of time.
I used to see those situations as reasons to quit. Now I’m trying to look at them as information.
If something doesn’t work after giving it a fair attempt, I want to understand why instead of immediately jumping to the next shiny opportunity.
The 30-Day Rule
For now, my goal is simple: focus on one month at a time.Thirty days is long enough to actually put some effort into something, but short enough that it doesn’t feel overwhelming.
At the end of each month, I want to look back and ask myself one simple question:
Did I make real progress, or was I just keeping myself busy?
I think that question alone can reveal a lot.
I’m Curious Where This Goes
I have no idea what the numbers will look like after six months or a year.Maybe I’ll eventually build something that gives me a reliable side income. Maybe some of the ideas I’m working on now will fail completely. Either way, I want to document the process honestly.
For now, I’m not chasing a big income screenshot.
I’m just trying to build something, learn from it, and come back 30 days later a little better than I was before.
If anyone else here is doing the same thing, I’d love to hear how you’re approaching your own 30-day goals.
