A Few Weeks In – Starting to See What Works​

It’s been a few weeks since I started this Amazon affiliate experiment, so I thought it was time for a small update.

I’m still very much in the testing stage. I haven’t seen any dramatic results yet, but I’m slowly getting a better idea of which parts of the plan are worth spending time on and which ones need to be changed.

Working on the Existing Sites​

One thing I decided to focus on first was my older websites.

Instead of immediately creating a bunch of new sites, I’ve been going through some of the existing articles and checking which pages still have potential. Some content was outdated, some articles needed better information, and a few pages were barely getting any traffic at all.

I’ve started updating the articles that seem to have the most potential and improving the overall content rather than simply publishing more pages for the sake of increasing the article count.

Keyword Research Is Still a Challenge​

Keyword research is probably still the part I’m spending the most time on.

There are plenty of keywords that look interesting at first, but once I dig deeper into the competition and search intent, they don’t always seem worth targeting.

I’m trying to be more selective now and focus on topics where I feel a smaller site can realistically build some visibility.

AI Is Helping, But I’m Not Relying on It Completely​

I’m also experimenting with AI to speed up the content process.

It definitely helps with research, outlines and getting the first draft moving, but I’ve found that simply generating an article and publishing it isn’t enough. I still need to check the information, add useful details, improve the structure and make sure the content actually answers what the reader is looking for.

So for now, AI is more of a tool to save time rather than something I’m letting completely handle the websites.

No Big Earnings Yet​

As expected, there isn’t anything exciting to report on the earnings side yet.

Traffic is still relatively small, and I’m not expecting meaningful income this early. For me, the main goal at this stage is to figure out whether the traffic and content improvements are moving in the right direction.

I’d rather spend this stage learning what works than start chasing quick earnings.

What I’m Planning Next​

For the next few weeks, I’m going to continue improving the older content while gradually publishing new articles.

I’m also still keeping the idea of building new niche sites, but I don’t want to rush into creating several sites before I have a better understanding of what is actually working.

The original 11-month experiment is still on.

Nothing spectacular has happened yet, but I’m going to keep testing and documenting the process. Hopefully, the next update will have some actual traffic or earnings numbers to share.
