Testing AI for PPC Landing Pages
Hey guys, I’ve been experimenting with AI tools to speed up the process of creating landing pages for my PPC campaigns. The main reason I started using AI was pretty simple instead of spending hours writing and creating a separate page for every keyword group, I can generate a basic version much faster and then make some manual changes.
It’s definitely saved me time, but I’m starting to notice some interesting differences in performance.
Quality Scores Aren’t Consistent
Some of the AI-assisted landing pages are performing surprisingly well. They have decent engagement, good relevance and reasonable CPCs.But then I have other pages targeting similar keywords where the Quality Score is noticeably lower and the CPC is much higher.
In a few cases, the copy also feels a little too generic or robotic, even after editing it. I’m wondering whether that could be affecting how closely the landing page matches the search intent and the ad itself.
AI Copy vs Human-Written Copy
I’m not completely against AI content. In fact, I find it useful for getting the initial structure, headlines and ideas together. The question is whether manually written and heavily edited copy still has a real advantage when it comes to PPC landing pages.
For example, does a human-written page generally perform better because it understands the customer's intent and pain points more naturally, or is the actual wording less important than things like page speed, UX, keyword relevance and the overall landing-page experience?
What Are You Guys Doing?
I’d be interested to hear from anyone currently using AI in their Google Ads workflow. Are you using AI to write the entire landing page, or just using it for the first draft and then rewriting everything manually?
Also, have you noticed any meaningful difference in Quality Score, CPC, conversion rate or ad relevance between AI-assisted pages and traditionally written landing pages?
Would be great to hear some real-world experiences rather than just the usual “AI is good” or “AI is bad” debate.
