I’m documenting my affiliate website journey from day one.

The plan is to build the site around a specific niche rather than creating a broad website covering hundreds of unrelated topics. My main strategy will be useful content, long-tail keyword research, internal linking, basic technical SEO, and gradually building relevant authority.

I’m particularly interested in seeing how long it takes for a new website to move from almost no visibility to receiving consistent organic traffic.

The roadmap looks like this:

Phase 1 – Research

  • Select the niche
  • Analyze competitors
  • Find relevant search topics
  • Identify low-competition keywords
  • Create a content roadmap
Phase 2 – Website Building
  • Set up the website
  • Create important pages
  • Optimize the site structure
  • Build topic clusters
Phase 3 – Content
  • Publish helpful informational articles
  • Create comparison and commercial content
  • Improve existing pages based on search data
  • Strengthen internal links
Phase 4 – Traffic
  • Monitor Google Search Console
  • Track keyword rankings
  • Build relevant backlinks
  • Test additional traffic sources
Phase 5 – Monetization
  • Test affiliate offers
  • Analyze conversions
  • Improve pages receiving traffic
  • Focus on the content producing the best results
I’ll keep posting updates so anyone interested in affiliate SEO can follow the progress and learn from the numbers.

I really like this approach. I started an affiliate site a while ago and made the mistake of writing about too many different topics. It became difficult to build any real authority. Focusing on one niche from the beginning would have saved me a lot of time.
