How It Started

I started this affiliate site a few months ago, but honestly, I only began putting serious effort into publishing content around July. Since then, I’ve been consistently adding new articles and slowly working on the overall site structure.

Most of the content has been created using a custom ChatGPT GPT that I built for myself. I designed it to write more like an experienced older person who has knowledge and opinions across different areas of life, rather than producing generic, robotic-sounding articles.

Working on Internal Linking

I’ve also started spending more time on internal linking. At the moment, I’m keeping the links mostly within the same silo structure.

I prefer this approach because I want each silo to stay focused on its own topic instead of spreading internal links randomly across unrelated sections of the site. I’m still experimenting with the structure, so I’ll see how it performs as the site grows.

Current Progress

The site is still growing slowly, so I’m not expecting huge results immediately. My main goal right now is to keep publishing useful content, improve the existing articles, and gradually build up organic traffic.

Hopefully, if things continue moving in the right direction, I should start seeing some meaningful affiliate revenue over the next few months.

AdSense Rejection

I also applied for AdSense recently, but unfortunately, the application was rejected. One thing I noticed was that none of the articles had images at the time.

I’m now working on improving the overall presentation of the content and adding relevant images where they actually make sense instead of adding them just for the sake of having images.

Amazon Affiliate Plans

I’m also planning to apply for the Amazon Affiliate Program.

Since the site contains articles where recommending specific products would make sense, I’m currently looking for a good WordPress plugin that can help me add relevant Amazon products naturally within the content.

I’m more interested in something that keeps the product recommendations useful and relevant rather than automatically filling every article with random products.

Looking for Suggestions

If anyone here has experience with Amazon affiliate sites, I’d really appreciate some recommendations.

What Amazon affiliate plugin are you currently using, and which one would you recommend for a content-based affiliate site?

I’d also like to know what pages you consider essential before applying to the Amazon Affiliate Program. I’m thinking about things like the About page, Contact page, Privacy Policy, Terms, and other basic trust pages.

I’ll post another update next month and share how the traffic and rankings are progressing.

I think improving old articles can become a big growth lever once you have enough search data to see what Google is already rewarding.

Your decision to improve presentation after the AdSense rejection could benefit the site regardless of whether AdSense approves it later.

My first content site had plenty of articles but almost no structure, and reorganizing them into clear categories made a noticeable difference in how visitors moved around.
