I’d look at the quality of the product before looking at the commission. If you can genuinely recommend something and explain why it’s useful, creating content and building trust becomes much easier.
 
I’ve had better experiences with programs that provide proper banners, product information, tracking links, and clear guidelines. Having those resources makes the whole process easier, especially when you’re testing a new niche.
 
I think the best affiliate program really depends on where your traffic comes from. Something that converts well through SEO might not perform the same way through social media, so I always consider the audience and traffic source together.
 
I’ve tried both large networks and smaller independent programs. The larger ones usually have more choices, but some smaller programs have been surprisingly good because the affiliate managers are more involved.
