I Am Very Curious About Learning How to Make Money from Running Huge Facebook Ads
I've been spending a lot of time learning about digital marketing recently, and one topic keeps grabbing my attention: making money through Facebook ads. When I look online, I see people talking about spending thousands every day on campaigns. Some claim they're running massive ad budgets for e-commerce stores, affiliate marketing, lead generation, local businesses, or even their own products. It sounds exciting, but it also raises a lot of questions for someone who has never managed large-scale campaigns.
I'm not looking for "get rich quick" methods or unrealistic promises. I'm interested in understanding how people actually build profitable advertising businesses over time.
Some of the things I'm curious about are:
- How do experienced advertisers know when an ad is profitable enough to increase the budget?
- Is it better to start with a very small daily budget and gradually scale, or is there another strategy?
- What skills should a beginner focus on first—copywriting, audience targeting, creative design, or data analysis?
- How important are landing pages compared to the Facebook ads themselves?
- How do professionals manage the risk of losing money while testing new campaigns?
- What metrics do you watch every day before deciding whether to keep or stop an ad?
- At what point do people usually feel confident enough to manage larger advertising budgets?
If you've gone from spending just a few pounds (or dollars) a day to managing much larger campaigns, I'd really appreciate hearing about your journey.
- What was your biggest mistake when you first started?
- What lesson saved you the most money?
- If you had to start over today with limited experience, what would you learn first?
I'd love to hear how you approached it and what you wish someone had told you before you started.
