Hello everyone,

I’m starting a new experiment with a simple goal: build a website portfolio that generates $5,000 per month without relying on a single income source.

Instead of focusing entirely on Amazon Associates, I’m testing a mix of monetization methods affiliate partnerships, display advertising, sponsored content, and digital products.

I currently have a few websites in different niches, and I’m going to use them as test projects. The idea is to experiment with different content strategies, SEO approaches, monetization methods, and traffic sources to see what actually produces results.

I’ll be tracking things like monthly traffic, rankings, affiliate clicks, conversions, ad revenue, expenses, and overall profit.

I’m not expecting everything to work immediately. Some experiments will probably fail, and I’ll share those results too because I think the failures can be just as useful as the wins.

The target is $5K/month in total revenue, and I’ll be posting regular updates as the journey progresses.

Hopefully, this turns into a useful case study for anyone else building niche websites and looking for ways to diversify their online income.

Let’s see how far this experiment can go.

This is a really interesting experiment. I like that you’re focusing on multiple income sources instead of putting everything into one monetization method.

The failure updates could actually be the most valuable part. Everyone talks about what worked, but knowing what didn’t work is often more useful.

$5K/month is a solid target. Curious to see which revenue stream eventually contributes the biggest percentage.

Diversification makes a lot of sense here. One algorithm update or affiliate program change shouldn’t be enough to destroy the entire business.

I’d definitely follow this journey. Real numbers around traffic, expenses, conversions, and profit are much more useful than generic SEO advice.

Really like the experimental approach. Test something, measure it, improve it, and move on if it doesn’t work.

The expense tracking is especially important. Revenue can look great on paper until you include content costs, tools, hosting, and everything else.

I appreciate the experimental mindset here. Instead of assuming something works because people say it works, you’re actually going to test it yourself.

I’m curious whether display ads or affiliate partnerships will end up being more profitable per visitor. That comparison should be interesting.

This sounds like a proper case study rather than another “make money online” post. Looking forward to seeing the actual results.

$5K is ambitious, but having several websites and different monetization channels gives you a good foundation.

Please share the numbers even when something completely flops. Those experiments can teach more than a successful campaign sometimes.

I’ve always wondered how much sponsored content can realistically contribute to a smaller portfolio of niche sites. Interested to see your results.

I think AI is great for creating variations quickly, especially when you want to test different hooks. But I’d let actual campaign data decide which messaging stays.

The combination of affiliate income, ads, sponsorships, and digital products seems like a smart way to reduce dependency on one source.

I like that you mentioned profit rather than just revenue. That distinction gets overlooked way too often in online business case studies.

Another metric worth watching could be revenue per article. It might reveal which type of content is actually pulling its weight rather than simply generating traffic.

$5K/month sounds great, but I think the more interesting question is whether you can make it predictable. One unusually good month is very different from building a stable $5K baseline.
