I've been holding a portfolio of gambling-related domains for quite some time. Most of them are over 15 years old, and the oldest is more than 20 years old.

I expected at least some interest because of their age and niche, but I haven't managed to sell any of them yet.

I've already tried listing them on a few popular domain marketplaces, but that hasn't brought any serious inquiries or offers.

For those who have experience selling domains, what would you recommend? Is outbound outreach the better approach, or are there other platforms and strategies that have worked well for you?

I'd really appreciate any advice from people who've successfully sold domains in the gambling niche. Thanks in advance!

Domain age by itself doesn't usually sell a name anymore. Buyers care much more about the actual keywords, brandability, search demand, and whether the domain has a clean history. I'd start by checking the backlink profile and archive history of each domain. If they're clean, highlight that in your listings. If not, it may explain the lack of interest.

Passive marketplaces only work when someone is already looking for your exact domain. For a niche like gambling, I'd spend time identifying casino operators, affiliate marketers, software providers, and sportsbook startups that could actually benefit from owning your names. A targeted outbound campaign will almost always outperform waiting for buyers to find you.

Have you had anyone review the domains objectively? Sometimes we become attached to names because we've owned them for years. I'd post a few examples here (if forum rules allow) and let experienced members give you honest feedback on pricing and quality.
