Starting over has forced me to rethink what success actually means.

For a long time, I was focused on making money as quickly as possible. I chased opportunities, tried to rebuild what I had lost, and spent too much time hoping things would eventually work out.

Looking back, one of my biggest mistakes was spending so much energy trying to bring back something that was already gone.

A Different Approach This Time

I'm no longer interested in chasing quick wins or building something that could disappear overnight. I want to develop skills, build genuine relationships, and create solutions that businesses actually need.

That's why I'm focusing on local business services while working on my SaaS product for cafés.

The service business is my way of generating cash flow today. The SaaS is my attempt to build something that can generate recurring revenue over time.

I know neither path is easy, and having a product doesn't automatically mean people will buy it. I'll have to learn how to find customers, understand their problems, sell effectively, and deliver enough value to keep them around.

The Numbers Right Now

I'm currently making around $1k in monthly recurring revenue from four retainer clients. Last month, I generated approximately $3.5k in total revenue, and I've closed a $2k project so far this month.

My next milestone is reaching $10k per month through service sales and retainers.

It's a big gap, but at least I have a clear target to work toward. Instead of obsessing over the final number, I'm trying to focus on the activities that could get me there: consistent outreach, better offers, stronger client relationships, and continuous improvement.

Learning to Play the Long Game

I'm also realizing that building a sustainable business requires a different mindset.

Not every idea will work. Not every prospect will become a client. Some experiments will waste time and money. The important thing is to learn from those experiences without repeating the same mistakes indefinitely.

I want to build something that creates real value, earns customers' trust, and gives me more control over my future.

I'm still figuring things out, and I have a long way to go. But for the first time in a while, I'm more interested in building a solid foundation than looking for the next big opportunity.

The Journey Continues

I'm sharing this journey publicly because I want to document the actual process, not just the wins.

I'll share what works, what fails, the lessons I learn from clients, and the challenges of building a SaaS from scratch.

No promises of overnight success. No pretending to have everything figured out.

Just the numbers, the experiments, and the work behind trying to build a better business.

The goal is $10k/month. The real challenge is building something sustainable enough to keep growing beyond it.

Let's get to work.
