Hello everyone,

Lately, I've been thinking about offering my own services on SocialTacts as another way to build a steady online income. I've noticed there are many talented members here providing everything from SEO and content writing to web development, graphic design, AI services, social media marketing, and many other digital solutions. Before creating my own service thread, I wanted to hear from members who already have experience selling here.

Why Did You Decide to Start Selling?

I'm interested in knowing what motivated you to offer services on SocialTacts. Were you looking for a side income, hoping to build a full-time business, promote an agency, or simply gain more clients? Did your journey turn out the way you expected, or were there surprises along the way?

What Services Do You Offer?

It would be great to know what type of services you currently provide and whether you've remained focused on one niche or expanded into several different areas over time. Have you found that specialising in one service works better than trying to offer everything?

Getting the First Client

Many people say the hardest part is getting that very first customer. I'd love to hear how long it took you to land your first order and what helped make it happen. Did you already have a portfolio, or did you start completely from scratch? Was your first sale easy to get, or did it take weeks or even months before someone placed an order?

Building Trust With Buyers

In a marketplace where many sellers compete for attention, trust seems to play a huge role. What do you think convinced buyers to choose your service instead of someone else's? Was it your pricing, communication, delivery speed, portfolio, testimonials, or simply the way you presented your offer?

Pricing Your Services

Pricing is something many beginners struggle with. When you first started, did you intentionally keep your prices lower to attract customers and collect reviews, or did you charge what you believed your service was worth from day one? Looking back now, would you make the same decision again?

The Importance of Reviews

How important have reviews been to the growth of your business? Do you feel buyers carefully read feedback before making a purchase, or are they more interested in the quality of your sales thread and the services you offer? At what point did you begin noticing that reviews helped generate consistent enquiries?

Repeat Customers

One thing I often hear is that repeat customers are more valuable than constantly finding new ones. Has this been true for your business? Do most of your earnings now come from returning clients, or are you still relying mainly on attracting new customers every month?

Challenges Along the Way

Every business comes with challenges, and I'm sure selling services is no different. What has been the biggest obstacle you've faced since starting? Whether it was dealing with competition, difficult clients, pricing issues, missed deadlines, or something completely unexpected, I'd be interested in hearing how you handled those situations.

Advice for Beginners

If someone were launching their very first service on SocialTacts today, what advice would you give them? Is there anything you wish someone had told you before you started? Sometimes a single piece of practical advice can save newcomers a lot of time, money, and frustration.

Growing Your Business

Once you started getting customers, how did you continue growing? Did you simply rely on your service thread, or did you actively market yourself in other ways? I'm curious to know whether consistency, customer service, networking, or something else played the biggest role in helping your business expand.

Looking Back

If you could go back to the day you created your very first service thread, is there anything you would do differently? Would you change your pricing, improve your presentation, choose a different niche, or focus on building a stronger portfolio before launching?

Let's Share Our Experiences

Whether you've completed just a handful of orders or have built a successful full-time business through SocialTacts, your experience could be incredibly valuable to others who are thinking about offering services for the first time.

I'd really appreciate hearing your story, including what worked well, what didn't, the lessons you've learned, and any advice you'd give to someone who is preparing to launch their first service.

Looking forward to reading everyone's experiences and learning from the community. Hopefully this discussion will become a useful resource for both beginners and experienced sellers alike.

I started selling because I was tired of relying on one income source. At first, I only offered SEO audits since that was my strongest skill. Getting the first client took around three weeks, but once I received a positive review, enquiries became much more regular. My advice is to focus on one service, overdeliver, and build your reputation before expanding into other areas.

For me, SocialTacts became a place to test whether people would actually pay for my skills. I began with content writing and later added AI-assisted writing services. Pricing was difficult because I didn't want to undervalue my work, but I also needed those first reviews. Looking back, starting with slightly lower prices was probably the right decision.
