One thing I would add is that creators should be careful about promoting everything. If every video contains a sales pitch, followers may stop trusting the account.
 
I think TikTok is especially interesting for beginners because creating a simple video doesn't require a huge budget. You can test ideas quickly and see what people respond to.
 
The first few months can probably be frustrating. You might spend time making videos and get very few views. But those early videos can teach you what type of content your audience actually wants.
 
I've noticed that simple videos sometimes perform better than highly edited ones. A clear explanation or useful tip can be enough if it solves a problem people are interested in.
 
The biggest lesson for me is that monetization should come after audience building. If people don't trust your content, adding affiliate links or promotions probably won't help much.
 
I think affiliate marketing is a good option for smaller creators. You don't necessarily need millions of followers if your audience trusts your recommendations.
