I’ve used Swagbucks for years. Surveys aren't necessarily the best-paying activity there, but I like having other options when there aren't any surveys available.

One thing people should watch for is the cash-out threshold. I prefer sites where I can withdraw relatively quickly instead of spending weeks accumulating points before I can actually get my money.

My experience with Survey Junkie has been pretty average. I’ve had successful cash-outs, but the number of surveys available changes a lot. It’s better as a side option than something I would rely on.

Pinecone is good if you can get accepted. The individual opportunities I’ve received have generally been more interesting than the generic surveys, but the invitations aren't constant.

I’d also look into research study platforms, not just traditional survey sites. The compensation can be significantly better when you qualify for academic or consumer research studies.

I think people underestimate how important their demographic profile is. Two people can use the exact same survey website and have completely different experiences because they qualify for different studies.

I tried around five different platforms and eventually stopped using most of them. For me, Prolific and one general survey platform were enough. Having 15 accounts doesn't necessarily mean you'll earn 15 times more.

Don't forget to factor in screen-out time. I had one site where I was constantly answering preliminary questions only to be told I didn't qualify. That made the advertised payout basically meaningless.
