Hi everyone, I have a question for those of you who have experience buying or selling websites. In your opinion, what factors make a website sell faster and for a higher price? Is monthly revenue the biggest factor, or do buyers pay more attention to things like traffic quality, SEO, backlinks, niche, domain age, email subscribers, or social media presence?

For example, would you rather buy:

• A website making consistent monthly profit but with slower growth, or
• A website with lower earnings but strong traffic growth and lots of potential?

I'm also curious if there are certain improvements that owners should make before listing a website for sale. Things like cleaning up financial records, improving SEO, increasing recurring revenue, or reducing the amount of work required to manage the site.

I'd love to hear from people who have bought or sold websites before. What makes you confident enough to buy, and what are the biggest red flags that make you walk away from a deal?

For me, consistent monthly profit is the biggest factor. I'd rather buy a business with stable earnings than one that's growing quickly but hasn't figured out how to monetize effectively.

I always start by looking at where the traffic comes from. If most of it is organic and has been stable for a long time, that's usually a good sign.
